Overview

Hello Everyone

We return to Kingsbury a few miles south of Tamworth this Sunday for a leisurely walk encompassing no less than three water parks for which the area is well known. Field footpaths, woodland, a short canal section, and approximately 0.75 mile of quiet road walking complete the circuit. Pretty much flat throughout with just one stile.

Why not join us for a day out in good company? You're very welcome to do so. If this is your first walk with Chase & District group it'd be great if you could let us know please. Thanks.👍

Registration: 09.45.  Walk start: 10.00.   Walk Leader: Dave (07456 598722)

⚠️Please note there are no facilities at the start but loo's are available late into the walk at around 7.5 miles.

⚠️Our own members should note there's no rendezvous at Hednesford for this walk. Please go direct to the start.

Post walk refreshments venue to be decided on the day. Nothing unusual about that.😂😂

See you all there!

The start is located approximately 4 miles south of Tamworth. The fastest route is via the A5.

Pick up the A5 southbound depending on your location and proceed past Tamworth to the M42 Junction 10 island where take the 4th exit onto Trinity Road signed for Kingsbury & Piccadilly and continue on this road for 3 miles, then as below.

At the island straight on, then with Kingsbury Oil Terminal entrance on your right follow the course of the road for Kingsbury and Tamworth for a further 700 yards, still Trinity Road, until the bridge over the railway.

Once over this bridge turn left 100 yards later into Pear Tree Avenue. The car park is on your left after 500 yards. Not the surgery car park on the corner of Meadow Close but 100 yards further down.

Photos above of the final approaches and the car park entrance to aid you if need be.

From the south at M42 Junction 9.  Exit slip then take the fourth exit onto the A4097 signed for Kingsbury. Proceed for 2.5 miles to the second island where turn left onto the A51, direction Tamworth. Pear Tree Avenue is the third road on the right 0.5 mile later. The car park is on your right 100 yards after turning into Pear Tree Avenue.
