Overview

The C walk starts near the junction of the A49 and the B4365 (close to Ludlow racecourse). Initially we follow the original Shropshire way route north, to the hamlet of Stanton Lacey. After a brief break we follow an adjacent path south before veering off to Bromfield where they will be an opportunity to have a longer break and grab an ice cream/coffee or some other delicacy from the Ludlow farm shop. Following we cross the A49, pass the church and mills on the Oakley park estate and continue into Ludlow following the current Shropshire way route. A route that provides stunning views of Ludlow Castle. In Ludlow we will follow a circuitous route, which provides the opportunity to see some of Ludlow’s historic buildings/sites, before (if time allows) some free time to visit one of the many cafes or pubs. The walk ends a short distance from the town centre at the coach parking area in the town. Total distance: approximately 7miles Majority of the walk is fairly level only ascents being near/in Ludlow itself.
