We are the Loughborough & District Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
These walks involve travel by coach to the Malvern area. We will meet at Tesco car park off Park Road, Loughborough at 8am. Walkers will be dropped off at two points for long and short versions of the walk.
The longer walk will start at Eastnor Castle car park where there are toilets and a small cafe. The walk is 10 miles and will finish in Great Malvern. There are more toilets on the route at British Camp car park and at Upper Wyche.
The shorter walk starts at the British Camp car park where there are toilets, a cafe and a public house. This walk is 6 miles, will go at a slower pace than the long walk and may go round the hills.
Both walks finish in Great Malvern where there will be free time to enjoy refreshments in the town. The coach will pick up at 6pm and return to Loughborough by 8 pm.
The cost of the trip is £25.
The long walk follows the Geopark Way to the Obelisk and then on to Hangman Hill, following the Three Choirs Way to Herefordshire Beacon. We then follow the ridgeway over several hills walking towards Worcestershire Beacon, heading towards North Hill and then down into Great Malvern.
The short walk follows the ridgeway to Worstershire Beacon and then down into Great Malvern.
Please note that it could be windy on the top of the hills so hats and poles would useful!
