Overview

A circular walk starting at the public car park in Milldale.  After a short steep ascent we will walk across pasture fields joining a quiet lane for a short way before taking another footpath over to Bunster Hill.  We descend to the river near the Izaac Walton Hotel before our return leg through Dovedale.

Please book as the walk leader lives on the Notts Leicester border.  Book with the walk leader by 5 pm the day before the walk please.   You are very welcome to turn up on the day without booking, but the walk will only take place if sufficient bookings have been received.  Walking poles could be useful on steeper sections.  Please bring lunch, drinks and snacks.  There are toilets at the beginning middle and end of this walk.
