Overview

This walk will start from what is affectionately known locally as  'the dump'.

We will go through woodlands, some steep and very slippery, muddy climbs, and descents, seeing wonderful spring flowers, listening to so much bird song, and hopefully several woodpeckers drilling, although anyone that actually see's one of them has my respect.

Depending on time, coffee will hopefully be at the ruins of Cwm Ciddy Sawmill, then on through more woodland. We'll head up towards Porthkerry village, through the airport landing lights field, and lunch on picnic benches within the caravan park. Heading back down afterwards, though on different tracks to the start point.

I hope this walk will give you a different taste of a much-loved local gem.

If you use poles, even rarely, please bring them.
