Our activities include:
Short and easy walks
Combine healthy exercise with meeting a friendly and sociable group of people! Join Henley & Goring Ramblers for walks in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Enjoy a walk along the Thames, in the hills and beech woods of the Chilterns, through Nature reserves with Red Kites flying overhead, along national trails such as the Ridgeway and the Chiltern Way or the many well signposted paths that crisscross our area. Some people worry that Ramblers might walk too fast for them. No need to. Walks are graded so you can pick your own level from leisurely to strenuous. With over 300 members and more than 30 walk leaders we can provide walks to suit a wide range of tastes and abilities. A number of our walks are five miles or less. There are two walks programmes a year, each with about 70 walks. We organise away trips in this country and abroad, local day walks and long distance linear routes over a number of weekends. We work with the Chiltern Society to keep footpaths open. We produce lively Newsletters and keep members up to date by e-mail. Social activities are an integral part of the programme. There is an informal e-mail based Arts Group for trips to a range of cultural events. We share transport whenever possible. Come on a walk and see if you would like to join us! - See more at: our web site
