An extensive ancient woodland, the largest in Worcestershire after Wyre Forest, thought to date back at least to the Domesday Book and probably to the end of the last Ice Age. Today it is a mixed woodland with traditional oak and hazel coppice, a conifer plantation and a meadow area.
