Circular from Blairgowrie via Kirkmichael, Spittal of Glenshee, Kirkton of Glenisla, Alyth, Bridge of Cally
101km/63 miles
Signed
A lengthy heart-shaped circular trail with a spur from Blairgowrie, over varied terrain from rolling pastures to the foothills of the Cairngorms with excellent views and stunning scenery throughout. It takes its name from the cattle thieves and marauders who raided the rich farmlands of Strathardle and Glenisla and escaped over old drove roads and through remote glens.
Can be walked in four or five days with accommodation and services available at roughly 19km/12-mile intervals. There is a more challenging section from Enochdu to Spittal of Glenshee.
The Trail is now managed by Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust.
