Copper Trail

Circular from Minions via Bodmin, Camelford and Five Lanes
100km/60 miles
Unsigned
Southwest England

A circuit around bleak and beautiful Bodmin Moor, including prehistoric remains, mining heritage and open access land.

The Trail was launched in 2005 by The Best of Bodmin Moor, a partnership of local businesses promoting tourism in the area.

Public Transport

The nearest station is Bodmin Parkway, with trains to London Paddington and Penzance -- this is outside Bodmin itself but the Trail passes relatively close and there are regular buses into Bodmin. National Express coaches also serve Bodmin itself. The western side of the moor between Bodmin, Camelford and Wadebridge is covered by Corlink Book and Ride buses operating on flexible routes. Buses also run from Bodmin Parkway and Liskeard to St Neot, from Liskeard to Minions and from Launceston to Five Lanes and North Hill but frequencies vary. For more information ask local information centres, contact Traveline (see More about public transport) or look up Public transport on Cornwall council's website for bus maps and Corlink information.
