A short, easy but attractive trail on the northern edge of the Black Country conurbation, linking the Forest of Mercia with the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at Cannock Chase. The route, opened in 2004, follows the line of the former Wyrley and Essington Canal to Cheslyn Hay, continuing through the ancient woodland of Shoal Hill west of Cannock.
