Easy walks for all around the rural and urban landscapes of this community forest to the north of Birmingham: woodlands, parks, waterways, reservoirs, nature reserves and built heritage.

  • Burntwood Heritage Trail Bridge Cross Road and High Street, Burntwood 3km/2 miles
    A largely street-based walk linking 11 of the blue heritage plaques in Burntwood. The full trail extends to Chasetown.
  • Chasewater Innovation Centre and Lake 6.5km/4 miles
    Around this superb country park with its extensive lake.
  • Chasewater & Cuckoo Bank Chasewater Heaths Station, Lake, Cannock Road and Cuckoo Bank 6.5km/4 miles
    Figure-of-eight route, part of several inteconnecting walks connecting Chasewater and Prospect Village
  • Mill Green Cannock Station and Mill Green 1km/0.75 miles
  • Oily Goughs Bloxwich and Sneyd Junction 1.5km/1 mile
    Meadows and pools on a site named after a former owner, a scrap metal merchant
  • Park Lime Pits Daw End and Park Lim ePits 1km/0.75 miles
    Visits a restored disused quarry that may date back to Roman times
  • Pipe Hall Woodland St Matthews Road, Woodhouses and Pipe Hall 2km/1 mile
    Visiting one of the largest woodland sites in the Forest of Mercia, managed by the Woodland Trust.
  • Pelsall North Common North Road and Pelsall Common 3km/2 miles
    Includes the Cannock Extension Canal, now an SSSI, and a valuable local nature reserve at Pelsall Common.
  • Rough Wood Nature Reserve Hunts Lane, Willenhall and Rough Wood 1.5km/1 mile
    Explores the largest oak woodland within Walsall
  • Sevens Road Woodland Prospect Village to Sevens Road and Beacon Way 1km/0.75 miles
  • Sevens Road to Wimblebury Sevens Road, Cuckoo Bank and Wimblebury Mound 6.5km/4 miles
    These routes inteconnect with the Chasewater walks.
