Public transport
Between Crews Hill and Watton-at-Stone the route roughly parallels the Great Northern railway line from London King's Cross and Moorgate to Stevenage (for services to Peterborough, Leeds, York and Scotland) and Cambridge via Hertford, with stations at Crews Hill, Cuffley, Bayford, Hertford North and Watton-at-Stone either on or near the route. This line is rejoined at Ashwell & Morden station on the final section of the Walk. Between these points the route passes through rural country and local buses may be sparse.
