Woodgate Valley, Quinton to Waseley Hills, Rubery
7km/4.5 miles
Signed EASY
West Midlands
A short attractive route linking two country parks to the west of Birmingham. Includes green lanes, pastures, ancient woodlands, and a disused railway line. Thanks to a gateway art project in 1996, over ten sculpted "stepping stones", a specially designed squeeze stile and a metal sculpture enliven the route.
Accessibility
Despite its proximity to urban areas, the route includes some rough and hilly paths.
Public Transport
Buses serve several parts of the Way which is within easy reach of Birmingham and Bromsgrove. Most of the Way falls within the Centro area with bargain fares and passes available: more on the Birmingham page.
