Circular via St Fagans, Barry, Cowbridge and St Bride's Major
111km/69 miles
Meandering route through the Vale of Glamorgan, a little-visited but often beautiful area in the southernmost part of Wales. The Trail runs via Peterston Super Ely, Barry, Cowbridge, Llantwit Major, St Bride's Major and Llanharry with spurs to Ewenny Priory near Bridgend and St Fagans, including coastal paths, farmland, industrial archaeology and prehistoric remains within easy reach of Cardiff.
The Trail was created by Valeways, a partnership involving local authorities, environmental bodies, charities and voluntary groups including the Ramblers, and launched in 2001.
Numerous shorter walks in the Vale are described on the Valeways website below.
