Eastern England

A route through the heart of the Broads following the River Yare, recalling the trading boats known as wherries that once plied the local waterways. As well as the unique landscape of the Broads, there are also sculptures and other features along the Way to add enjoyment and interest.

The route was developed by a partnership of local authorities, the Broads Authority and businesses and launched in 2005.

Public Transport

Most locations on the route can be reached by public transport. There are rail stations at Norwich, Brundall, Buckenham, Cantley, Reedham, Berney Arms and Great Yarmouth, with connections at Norwich for services to London and other major cities. Various buses also serve the route, and a scheduled riverbus connects Norwich with Whitlingham Country Park and Coldham Hall. If you come by boat there are various free 24-hour moorings. For further details contact The Broads Authority or local information centres.
