Area Support Officer (South)

We are looking for a highly skilled Area Support Officer South England.

This is a project officer level role where you will be expected to provide the coordination and delivery of Ramblers activities in England. In the main, activities are delivered through a network of volunteer-led local groups who in turn are coordinated by committees of regional volunteers. The role of area support officer is primarily focused on the provision of support to a limited number of area committees to help volunteers meet the Ramblers aspirations for them.

Contract: Up to 1 year fixed term (ending 30/09/2019)
Salary: £26,320 to £32,000 pa depending on experience

Paths for People Advocate Wales

This role will work closely with the Paths for People Co-ordinator Wales and the Policy and Advocacy Manager Wales, to provide a compelling evidence-based case for securing increased public support and investment in the path network and walking. The role will support the delivery of the Ramblers Cymru business plan, with a focus on a number of time-critical activities, including the delivery of the Paths for People Project, the Welsh Government’s Green Infrastructure agenda and the Valleys Landscape Park initiative.

This role is part of the Ramblers Cymru Team.

Paths for People Coordinator Wales

This role will work closely with the Paths for People Co-Advocate Wales and the Policy and Advocacy Manager Wales, on the delivery of Paths for People project and wider path maintenance strategy work in Wales. The role will help Ramblers members and groups get the most from Ramblers systems, training and projects to ensure the continued development of our volunteer footpath maintenance work and the upskilling of volunteers and members. Focus will be on supporting the delivery of the Community Council Toolkit pilot project in Powys and moving this forward to further delivery across Wales; and the development of an overarching Path Maintenance strategy for Ramblers Cymru
