Walking Spaces Officer (Maternity Cover)

You provide support Ramblers members and groups to maintain and open up the path network, and play a pivotal role in furthering the profile, condition and sustainability of the Cambrian Way – a long distance walking route between Cardiff and Conwy. You will deliver, or support colleagues to deliver, projects to ensure the continued development of our volunteer footpath maintenance work in Wales, and the skilling-up of Ramblers volunteers and members.

ICT 3rd Line Support Analyst

This is a dynamic new role where you will be able to help shape a new ICT infrastructure at Ramblers.
This position is part of the Services Division reporting to the ICT Service Delivery Manager.
This role ensures the smooth running of the ICT server and network infrastructure as well as strengthening the organisation’s ICT capability. The primary objective of the role is to ensure that agreed levels of system uptime are achieved for the organisations ICT infrastructure, and that the management of key services like updates, security and backups ensure a resilient and compliant network.
The role also is responsible for providing an escalation point for 1st-line ICT support queries and providing 2nd-line desktop support.
The post holder will be highly involved in supporting the ICT Service Delivery Manager to deliver a range of infrastructure improvement projects. This will include planning, developing and delivering the appropriate ICT network designs and architecture that best supports the activities of the organisation.

This role is part of the ICT Team.

Course and Resources Development Officer

We are looking for a highly skilled Course and Resources Development Officer – Walk Leadership

As a result of additional increased investment, Ramblers GB is now able to expand the walk leadership project across GB. Funding is in place until the end of December 2019 with an aspiration for further funding.

We are looking for a methodical, enthusiastic and experienced Course and Resources Development Officer to be responsible for the creation of resources to support the roll-out of training, in particular in ensuring that tools and resources to allow for tracking and monitoring of the progress of walk leaders through the training framework and enabling roll-out of other elements of the wider training framework.

Volunteering and Quality Assurance Officer

We are looking for a highly skilled Volunteering and Quality Assurance Officer – Walk Leadership.
(This role is funded thanks to support from Sport Scotland).

We are looking for a methodical, enthusiastic and experienced Volunteering and Quality Assurance Officer to be responsible for delivering year 3 of the Walk Leadership project in Scotland – primarily focused on building a network of volunteer trainers and mentors to support delivery of walk leadership training in future (alongside existing area training coordinators).

Short Group Walks Scheme Officer

The Short Group Walks Scheme Officer acts as a link between the national team and local Walking for Health schemes providing support to enable a consistent local offer of short group health walks.

They support Walking for Health schemes to maintain an agreed quality standard. They will provide support for the schemes through a period of change and ensure the schemes fully understand what is happening and the benefits to them.

Short Group Walks Scheme Officers will act as advocates for the future of the programme and as Brand ambassadors for the Ramblers.
