ICT 3rd Line Support Analyst

This is a dynamic new role where you will be able to help shape a new ICT infrastructure at Ramblers. 

This position is part of the Services Division reporting to the ICT Service Delivery Manager. This role is part of the ICT Team. This role ensures the smooth running of the ICT server and network infrastructure as well as strengthening the organisation’s ICT capability. The primary objective of the role is to ensure that agreed levels of system uptime are achieved for the organisations ICT infrastructure, and that the management of key services like updates, security and backups ensure a resilient and compliant network. 

The role also is responsible for providing an escalation point for 1st-line ICT support queries and providing 2nd-line desktop support. The post holder will be highly involved in supporting the ICT Service Delivery Manager to deliver a range of infrastructure improvement projects. This will include planning, developing and delivering the appropriate ICT network designs and architecture that best supports the activities of the organisation.

Essential Requirements include:

  • Excellent technical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Passion for great customer service with the ability to work effectively with colleagues in all areas and at all levels of the organisation
  • Flexible, energetic and driven with the ability to work in a dynamic fast changing environment
  • Planning and project management skills
  • Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server operating systems 7/2008 upwards
  • Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange online with Active Directory synchronization. 
  • Endpoint management: security, encryption, anti-virus, anti-malware, updates, software environment.
  • Key ICT infrastructure services: anti-virus, backup, monitoring and reporting.
  • Network infrastructure: firewalls; switches; wireless; LAN; WAN; TCP/IP.
  • VOIP telephony and videoconferencing systems
  • Knowledge of compliance - BACS/AUDDISS/PCI/Data Protection
