Interim Volunteering Manager

We are looking for an interim Volunteering Manager. Interim cover is required for a period to enable longer term recruitment and to assess the remit of the current role in the context of organisational needs during a period of growth and transformative change.

The Interim Volunteering Manager has overall responsibility for volunteering in the Ramblers, reviewing progress against our internal volunteer management standards, updating our core volunteer roles, and implementing key volunteer policies. The role reports to the Director of Delivery and Development as part of the Business Planning Group.

Essential Requirements include:

  • We are looking for an experienced manager with a proven track-record leading volunteering functions in large, national charities.
  • The successful role holder will be an excellent relationship builder able to balance multiple, competing priorities. A background and proven experience in ensuring legal compliance of volunteers and/or complaints and disputes would be highly desirable.
