Ramblers' Association supports £50 million bid to improve walking and cycling routes
29 November 2007
As Britain’s biggest walking charity, The Ramblers' Association supports the bid by Sustrans' for lottery funds to improve routes for walkers and cyclists alike.
The RA supports their bid because, by building new bridges and crossings over main roads, rivers and railways, and then linking these into networks of paths, the Sustrans' Connect2 project will enable many more people to walk the short, local journeys that are made everyday.
We believe that everyone can help bring new local travel routes to their doorstep by voting for Sustrans now at www.thepeoples50million.org.uk
