Walking Class Hero

Walking Class Hero

Most of what I know about Britain I’ve learnt through my feet, walking through its cities, towns and countryside. I’m particularly interested in people, culture and history when I blog, but rights of way, the best gear to wear and map references make appearances too. There’ll be plenty about the politics of walking from an unashamedly left-wing perspective, but I’m genuinely interested in other viewpoints as well.

I’m a London boy who loves his music, beer and Chelsea FC and in each blog I'll provide you with a selection of related tunes to listen to. As Tom Petty said: “I got my own way of talkin', but everything is done, with a southern accent where I come from”, but in truth he was probably singing about Gainsville, Florida or Baton Rouge, rather than Lewisham or Kingston upon Thames.

Walking Class Hero can often be found leading walks for Capital Walkers and the London Strollers. He also recently collected a UK Blog 2014 Award. Follow @walkngclasshero on twitter.
