Festival of Winter Walks

26th Dec - 3rd Jan

This Boxing Day, wrap up in your newest Christmas knitwear, slip on your boots, and prepare to join Ben Fogle and thousands of others sampling Britain at its most magical, at the Ramblers Festival of Winter Walks with Nature Valley.

Hundreds of walks will take place around the country between Boxing Day and January 3rd, that are free, fun and open to anyone and everyone from toddlers to grandparents. Chosen and led by experienced Ramblers, the walks will showcase Britain at its wintry best. Many of the walks are short and family friendly, although there’ll be plenty of yomps for the seasoned hiker too.

Walks include:
• Walks in every nook and cranny of England, Scotland and Wales
• At least 300 walks under 5 miles
• Themed ‘cake walks’, tipsy toddles, and fancy dress strolls
• 100+ walks for people in their 20s and 30s
• Delicious free Nature Valley snack bars at many walks*

TV presenter and keen walker himself, Ben Fogle, is supporting the Festival and is keen to encourage people all over the UK to get outdoors and enjoy the nature around them. Ben comments; “Walking is a perfect way to escape and unwind after a hectic Christmas, and a stroll in the crisp winter air is a perfect way to kick away those Christmas calories.

“With so many wonderful routes all around the country, it really is the ideal time to explore the beautiful winter landscape. We’re urging everyone in Britain, whatever their age, stage or level of walking, to get out and join in the Festival of Winter Walks.”
