+ A comfortable jacket, perfect for strolls in the country, with a fleece-lined collar and foldaway hood. There’s a good-sized map pocket and adjustable elasticated cuffs, too.
– A tad on the heavy side and no pit zips, so it can get a little heated – although the mesh-liner does help to wick away sweat.
VERDICT: After a two-year break from the clothing industry, Lowe Alpine (now owned by Equip, the company behind Rab) is launching this jacket, together with 67 others this year. It’s a practical, two-layer, no-nonsense jacket that’s sturdy and should last well.
