+ Like the men’s version of the Torres, this jacket is designed to go over a waterproof. However, the women’s Medio is a more flattering cut than the men’s equivalent. It feels soft and comfortable and the polyester shell is windproof and water resistant. The design is excellent, with large zip hip pockets and a longer length body.
- Heavier than the other jackets tested here, although very warm. The Velcro cuffs are practical but bulky.
VERDICT This jacket delivers near-instant warmth making it ideal to put on at rest stops or during static activities such as camping or belaying when climbing. But it would need to be extremely cold to be able to walk in it without overheating.
