We want to see every bit of England and Wales' 140,000 miles of public right of way open and easy to use. But while striving for this ambitious target we need to think strategically about where deploy our resources to be most effective.
As a charity we take our obligation to deliver public benefit very seriously. Public benefit is already built into our approach to rights of way work, but we're developing a new, more sophisticated method of defining and measuring public benefit which will inform the prioritisation of rights of way projects, campaigns and casework in the future.
Help us out!
You can help by completing a very short survey about which types of paths you think deliver the most public benefit and why. It'll take less than five minutes and you could even win a prize!
