Route Summary From pretty Ravenstonedale, strike out for hidden Smardale Gill, a wooded gorge in the limestone fells recently added to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Upland tracks then loop back over Smardale Fell, with marvellous views of the Howgill Fells.
