Route Summary A linear walk from East Dean to Seaford, East Sussex along the tops of precipitous white cliffs with sweeping sea views and a beautifully preserved smugglers’ beach. Good paths with springy turf underfoot but dangerous cliff edges.

The seven sisters and Seaford Head are justly famous, but very crowded. Personally, I would do this as two walks. There is a good short walk from Seaford, over Seaford Head and getting the bus back from Exceat. There is another famous long walk from Exceat to Beachy Head and Eastbourne via Burling Gap. I think that the camp site at Cuckmere Haven may have closed and that the Cafe/Bar at Birling Gap no longer does accommodation
