Access in Scotland

Ramblers Scotland took a leading role in the development of land reform legislation in Scotland which came into effect on 9 February 2005. The Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 establishes a statutory right of responsible access to almost all land and water, so long as you behave responsibly.

Scottish Outdoor Access Code

The Scottish Outdoor Access Code provides guidance on responsible behaviour for recreational users and land managers.
