We've been working for nearly 80 years to keep Britain’s footpaths clear, well signposted and marked on Ordnance Survey maps. We’ve helped to protect thousands of miles of path through many of the most beautiful parts of Britain.
We've achieved huge successes for walkers but as a charity, none of these amazing achievements could have been possible without the generosity of our members and supporters, through their subscriptions, donations and legacies.
After membership subscriptions, our largest source of income comes from gifts in wills. They help to fund our campaigns, support our network of volunteers and help us to keep Britain’s unique network of footpaths open and accessible. Most of all they help us continue our mission to speak up for walkers. If we didn’t, hard-won rights could be quickly eroded, footpaths forgotten and green spaces lost forever.
Right now we look after a staggering 130,000 miles of path spread across the countryside - from mountain to coast, moorland to fen. By remembering the Ramblers in your will, you can help to safeguard this unique network of footpaths so that future generations can follow in your footsteps.
If you'd like more information or a copy of our legacies brochure please complete this simple form. If you'd prefer to talk to someone about leaving a gift in your will to the Ramblers, you can call 020 7339 8573 or email Victoria Howson, our Individual Giving Fundraising Officer, at victoria.howson@ramblers.org.uk.
We understand that making a will is a personal matter, but if you'd like to tell us about your intentions we’d love to hear from you so that we can thank you for your support, so do get in touch.
We're committed to the highest standards of fundraising. There may be occasions when we don’t get it right so please get in touch if you have a complaint about our fundraising activities.
