Options for joining the Ramblers for former health walks and other walking groups

You may be considering running your walk with the Ramblers for lots of reasons.

This toolkit has guides that take you through what we offer and what your next steps could be.

These toolkit guides may be helpful for:

  • Volunteers from former Walking for Health schemes who want to run walks longer than 90 minutes.
  • Walking groups that were formerly supported by another charity, local authority or NHS health promotion project that can no longer offer support due to funding cuts.
  • A group of walkers looking to find out what the Ramblers can offer their group. What are the advantages to joining the Ramblers compared to walking as an informal group?

If you are interested in referring individual walkers to Ramblers, rather than running a walk with us, there is more information in our toolkit 'Next step Ramblers'.
