Julie Grier of the Vale of Clwyd Ramblers was inspired by the walk leaders workshop at the volunteer training event in Wrexham in Wales on 9 September and is encouraging more people to try leading walks.

Over 150 walkers turned out to tread the Outer Aylesbury Ring in Buckinghamshire with the Aylesbury Ramblers on 7 September, just a few months after the group officially opened the route.

We’ve been working with Natural England and other stakeholders to try to find ways of simplifying and speeding up the processes for adding existing, but unrecorded, rights of way to the definitive map and our recommendations are now set to be reviewed by parliament.

Since 2012 the Helensburgh and West Dunbartonshire Ramblers have worked to upgrade and extend the boardwalk path in the Peaton Hill Community Nature Reserve on the Rosneath Peninsula, making it easier for walkers to enjoy the wildlife haven.
