The new legal right of access to open countryside in England and Wales introduced through the CRoW Act was won through years of campaigning and is one of our most significant campaign victories. Our new Access Promoters volunteering project has been developed to make sure that this new right is being used and enjoyed by as many people as possible. Access promoters will speak to groups in their community about the history of the campaign, how to discover areas of access land and how to enjoy it responsibly.
The project will start in 2007 and run for one year. We will provide full training on making contact with local groups, give you materials for your presentations and tell you everything you need to know about the new rights and the history of the campaign. We are looking for volunteers who like speaking to groups and are passionate about helping more people enjoy the open countryside.
