Walking projects: England
Easy walks run by local volunteers

Ramblers Groups with regular programmes of shorter, easier led walks are listed here. The walks are mostly countryside walks of 3km/2 miles to 8km/5 miles in easy terrain and at a leisurely pace. Some walks are open to all, while some are intended for members of the Ramblers only, though you are welcome to attend two or three walks as a guest. Click on the Group name for contact details and, in some cases, details of forthcoming walks.
Many Ramblers volunteers are also involved in health walks projects offering even shorter, easier led walks of 500m/0.3 miles to 3km/2 miles for complete beginners or those with specific health problems, often in local parks. For more details of these walks see the Walking the way to Health website.
