Walking in Wellingborough and beyond

Wellingborough Ramblers were formed in 1991 and are comprised of a friendly group of local people who organise regular walks of differing lengths to suit all levels of ability.

We generally walk in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, within easy reach of Wellingborough. Walking is a great way to experience ‘the great outdoors’, socialise with others, build stamina, increase well-being and build fitness in a gradual and gentle way.

Our walks

Our walks’ schedule is both comprehensive and varied, with gentle-paced morning and afternoon strolls of approximately 4 miles to faster-paced morning walks of 7.5 - 8 miles and all-day challenges, which take in longer distances (up to 10-12 miles). Usual turnout is from 10-25 people at any one time. If you have got any questions, please do get in touch with the walk leader who’ll be happy to help.
