“Walking is a perfect way to escape and unwind after a hectic Christmas. What better way to introduce yourself to the delights of walking than stepping out in the crisp air of a winter’s day on a free, festive Winter Walks stroll.” Ben Fogle.

The Ramblers Festival of Winter Walks turns 20 this year and there is a bumper pack of walks on offer to celebrate. Festival walks are the perfect way to get out into the fresh air in-between the excesses of the festive season, to meet new people and enjoy stretching your legs.

Walks range from family-friendly 4-mile mince pie strolls, to 14-mile hikes in the hills.

Every year more than 17,000 people - from toddlers to great grandparents - enjoy the 700 walks on offer around the UK, organised and led by local Ramblers groups.

This year we are delighted to have the support of TV presenter and keen walker, Ben Fogle, and the sponsorship of Nature Valley.

All walks are FREE and you do not have to be a member of the Ramblers to take part. If you do decide to join the charity after a festival walk, you can also take advantage of a special 20% discount – just ask your walk leader for a joining form.

So come along, bring your family and friends and celebrate 20 years of winter walks!
