Sad News

We have recently been informed of the sudden death of Mike Lipscomb. He was a very active member of the group and will be sadly missed.

Mike's funeral will be at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Horsell at 12:00 noon on Thursday 23 March followed by a reception at Horsell Village Hall.

The Spring Lunch and walk originally planned for that day have now been moved to Wednesday 22nd March. Please see the walk details for further information.

Our groups help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk. Most groups organise regular walks led by local experts – a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness. You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.

A friendly group whose prime purpose is to enjoy the beautiful local countryside. We have a good spread of short and long walks, on both weekends and midweek, ranging from 2 miles to 12 miles, with the occasional walk up to 16 miles for the more energetic. Our walks mainly span the western half of Surrey, though we do sometimes venture further afield in West Sussex, East Hampshire or the Chilterns. We also have occasional practical footpath working parties.

Newcomers welcome - just turn up on the day; we look forward to your company.
