You should check in at reception before you come to the office. The receptionist will give you a visitor’s pass and a car permit if you're parking (see ‘Driving’ below). Our office is located on the 2nd floor, turn right when you come out of the lift and our office is the first door on your right.
The office is on the second floor and is wheelchair accessible. Disabled toilets are also provided.
The office is just over 4 miles from Haymarket station in Edinburgh city centre. There is a signed walking and cycling route which uses offroad paths or quiet roads (approx. 30 minutes by bike, 90 minutes on foot). To plan your journey, go to the walkit or cyclestreets websites.
The office is located in South Gyle on the western side of Edinburgh, beside the city bypass and minutes from the M8 and M9 motorways. There is limited car parking available at the sportscotland building (Caledonia House). Alternative parking for up to 4 hours is available at the South Gyle Shopping Centre, a 10 minute walk away.
Edinburgh trams: Trams pass through South Gyle every 8 minutes and the service connects the city centre with the airport. The nearest tram stop to the office is Edinburgh Park Central.
Buses: Bus number 22 runs every 10 minutes and takes you to and from Caledonia House (South Gyle Cresent) to Princes Street in Edinburgh city centre. If you're coming from/ going to the airport, bus number 35 runs every 10 - 12 minutes and stops at Edinburgh Park Redheughs Rigg, about a 10 minute walk from the office.
Local trains: South Gyle Station, Edinburgh Gateway and Edinburgh Park Station provide direct links from many areas. Edinburgh Park is the nearest station to Caledonia House. More details on routes and timetables can be obtained from the ScotRail website – see below.
