Walk, relax and explore Austria with Inghams

Every year volunteers lead thousands of Ramblers group walks across England, Scotland and Wales.

And now walking holiday specialist Inghams is inviting you to join their first ever walking Group Holiday in Austria. 

In May 2026 a small group of walkers will visit beautiful Mayrhofen for a week of scenic trails, good company and expert guided walks and service from Inghams. 

 

 

You will explore the best of the Zillertal Valley on four guided walks ranging from easy riverside strolls to moderate mountain routes. 

 

You’ll wander the Stilluptal Valley along the peaceful Waterfall Way beside the Stillup Reservoir, and enjoy the gentle ascent through the meadows and forests of the Wimmertal Valley.

Step things up midweek on the panoramic Höhenweg from Spieljoch to Hochfügen, a moderate route through alpine terrain with far-reaching views, before finishing with the rewarding climb to the Steinerkogel Hut, overlooking Mayrhofen and the valley below.

The base for the week is the Alpenhotel Kramerwirt, one of Mayrhofen’s most charming hotels, run by friendly hosts Hans-Jörg and Marieka Kröll.

After a day on the mountain, relax in the spa’s saunas, steam room and infrared cabin or unwind in the rooftop whirlpool where the views are every bit as good as the walks.

The hotel’s kitchen is famous for its traditional dishes, from homemade schnitzel to cheese-filled krapfen pancakes.
