Resisting the Maida Ale moniker, we'll wend our way from Paddington to the top of Primrose Hill, finishing in a pub near Chalk Farm for a beverage or two.
Meeting: Meet at Paddington station, Exit 3, Grand Union Canal next to Costa. This is the exit near the Hammersmith & City line platforms at the far end of the station from the main concourse.

Walk through the scenic Chiltern hills including the Dashwood Mausoleum. There are many stretches of beautiful mature woodland as well as some great views from the hills. Please bring a packed lunch and a torch. Final pub is about 1 mile from the station.

When a new station was built in Battersea in 1863 it was named after a fashionable village a mile away because Battersea was not considered a desirable place. Today the station is still called Clapham Junction but Battersea is a much more desirable area. On this walk we will see the iconic Battersea power station and it's new development, Battersea Park and the buzzing Northcote Road. Pub stop at end.
