This is the first and easiest walk in the five mountain fitness walk series (the rest of which will follow in the Spring programme). These walks are aimed at improving fitness and stamina. This series of walks has plenty of steep ascents and descents along with a quick/fast pace. Temple of the Winds is a circular walk from Haslemere into the South Downs National Park. A highlight of this walk is the view from the top of Black Down, the highest hill in Sussex. Even though this is a relatively gentle start to the series there are still some good ascents on Stanley Common, Telegraph Hill and others adding up to about 780 metres. Bring a packed lunch. Pub stop for drinks only. Optional pub at the end for drinks and/or dinner.
