A flat easy/moderate circular walk starting from Cambridge station with a shorter walk around the centre in the morning and a longer walk to Grantchester and Trumpington in the afternoon. We start from Cambridge station and our walk takes us via Parker’s Piece, Jesus Green, the Round Church, colleges and Backs (hopefully with spring flowers). Lunch in Cambridge (choice of cafés, pubs or picnic lunch). In the afternoon we walk through Grantchester Meadows to Grantchester for tea (or to see the village), then return to Cambridge station via Trumpington following Hobson’s Conduit, and past the Botanic Gardens. Option to join the whole walk or just the morning or afternoon walks.
The morning walk will be an urban walk and may be busy and on roads/pavements.Possiby muddy in afternoon.
The fast train from Kings Cross may be busy (9.42 arriving 10.30). Alternative train 9.35 from Kings Cross. Please check train times before travelling in case timetables change
Return from Cambridge station: regular trains including 1 fast train per hour to Kings Cross
