Britain's Best Walking Neighbourhood Award

Falkirk has been crowned the winner of our Britain’s Best Walking Neighbourhood Award 2019!

We received thousands of votes for all of our finalists, and the tally of votes was very close - which shows just how great all ten of our shortlisted neighbourhoods are. These neighbourhoods showcase some of the best of everyday walking; places where local authorities and community groups have improved local streets and routes for walking and with good access to green space.

Would you like your neighbourhood to be more walkable, and get a chance of winning the award next year, just like Falkirk? If you live in England or Wales, ask your local councillors to sign up to our Charter for Walking Neighbourhoods. We’ve written a template email for you, so you can do this in just three clicks. Scotland has devolved powers in many of these areas: find out more about Ramblers Scotland

Next year's round of the award - Britain's Best Walking Neighbourhood Award 2020 - will be coming soon! We will update the website when we have further information. In the meantime, you can get in touch at campaign@ramblers.org.uk if you have any questions.
