Wales Coast Path Festival

Celebrate the Wales Coast Path!

2019 marks seven years since the launch of the Wales Coast Path and Ramblers Cymru will be celebrating with a seven day walking festival from north to south Wales in seven locations over seven days.  There will be a programme of seven walks in each location during May, at the Great Orme on Saturday 4th May, Ynys Mon on Sunday 5th and Porthmadog on Monday 6th.  The following weekend walks will discover hidden parts of the Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire coast from Cwm Tydu on 11th and Saundersfoot on 12th.  The festival will then head south to Burry Port on 18th and Llantwit Major on 19th.

2019 is the Visit Wales ‘Year of Discovery’ and Ramblers groups across Wales with Keep Wales Tidy and other walking organisations will bring the coast path to life and surprise you with some very unique discoveries.  Learn about the birds on our shores, adventures of pirates, industries that made Wales famous across the world and find some hidden gems from shipwrecks and rock-pools to fossils, lighthouses and lime-kilns.  All walks and activities will be led by experienced walk leaders and the programme will include short, accessible walks, family friendly walks and longer challenges to suit everyone!

Most walks will be free (apart from an additional charge for linear walks where transport is required) but you will need to register.

Don’t miss out!  If you’d like to be informed when the walks programme is open for bookings, please email us on cerddwyr@ramblers.org.uk and put ‘Wales Coast Path info’ in the title.
