The Group AGM for Black Country Young Walkers. You must be a member of the Ramblers in the BCYW Group or be prepared to join on the day to attend.
Chip butties will be provided.

Committee Positions include:
Chair - To promote the aims of the Ramblers in the Group by ensuring that discussion and decision-making in the Group are conducted in an efficient, friendly and inclusive manner. By facilitating disciplined meetings and building links with committee members, the Chair keeps the wheels of the committee oiled and moving.
Vice Chair - To assist the Chair in promoting the aims of the Ramblers in the Group and standing in for the Chair if they are absent.
General Secretary - To keep the Group Committee running effectively through good administration. In addition, the Secretary is in an ideal position to take a lead role in developing the Group’s work and raising its profile.
Membership Secretary, News Editor and Publicity Officer - To ensure new or prospective members are given a warm welcome to the Group, and are made aware of the opportunities to get involved; To send out the weekly email newsletter and co-ordinate the submission of contributions to any group or area publications; To promote the group and its activities to non-members in and around the group’s patch; To promote the Ramblers as a whole by distributing national recruitment leaflets sent to you from central office.
Treasurer - To oversee the finances of the Group. To complete the annual budgeting process and carry out ongoing accounting, feeding in to the Group AGM and annual return to central office.
Access Officer - To promote and protect open access to the countryside as a way of enabling all people to experience a greater love and appreciation of the natural world and outdoor recreation.
Countryside Secretary - As a Countryside Secretary you will be looking at planning and environmental issues as they relate to the walking infrastructure in your Group’s territory. You will be working closely with the Access Officer and Footpath Secretary to ensure that the countryside and urban public space are both accessible to the public and that the special qualities of these places are preserved and enhanced.
Footpaths Secretary / Officer - As Group Footpath Secretary you will contribute to the development of opportunities and facilities for walking in your Area by working to protect and enhance the local rights of way network.
Webmaster - To update and maintain the group's Ramblers website and Meetup site to add details of forthcoming walks/events, general information of use to the group and to promote the group.
Walk Program Co-ordinator (Day) - To co-ordinate the compilation of a varied programme of Day Walks on behalf of the Group.
Walk Program Co-ordinator (Evening) - To co-ordinate the compilation of a varied programme of Evening Walks on behalf of the Group.
Social Secretary - To co-ordinate the compilation of a varied programme of Socials on behalf of the Group.
Representative at Area Council - To attend Area Council meetings, representing the group and raising any issues. In addition, to bring any items from Area that need discussing at Group committee.
