TRAINING - WALK LEADERSHIP ESSENTIAL COURSE (Nottingham)

Around 55,000 group walks take place every year – all led by you, our fantastic volunteers. We know it’s important to provide walk leaders with the right support, to build the skills and confidence you need to lead fun, safe and inspiring group walks. Thanks to support from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery, we are now expanding our Walk Leadership project.  From January, Walk Leadership Essentials training will be taking place at a wide variety of locations across England.

The full day course will cover the role of a walk leader, the practicalities of planning and leading group walks and some of the scenarios you may face when leading walks.  There will be plenty of time to share ideas and experiences with your fellow walk leaders too.

The first courses will be taking place in: Greater Manchester (24 & 25 January), Devon (24 & 25 January), London (7 & 15 February), and Nottinghamshire (14 & 15 February).
