We are the West Riding Area Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Our leaders are preparing walks West of the Pennines in the lovely Gisburn/ Clitheroe area, on 16th March, followed by a hearty meal at the Calf’s Head in Worston. The pub describe the food as a “Walkers Menu”, so expect to bring a good appetite! This is a family run business who pride themselves on supplying food that reflects the season and uses produce sourced from the local area.
We usually offer graded (often linear) walks: A+, (11 + miles, strenuous and fast), A (9-10 miles), and B walks (6-8). New members are very welcome. Coach £16 each by BACS preferably. Meal prices vary, maximum £14.
Picking up in Leeds at 8:30, then Thornbury Barracks at 8:45, and then Bradford Nelson Nelson St at 9:00.
