Malham is a small village in the Yorkshire Dales on the Pennine Way, surrounded by limestone dry-stone walls, & with a stream running right through the middle of the village. The main attractions are the stunning scenery of Malham Cove and Gordale Scar – probably the two most impressive sights in the whole of the Yorkshire Dales and both within easy walking distance of the village as is Janet’s Foss Waterfall. Malham Cove is a huge curving amphitheatre shaped cliff formation of limestone rock. The vertical face of the cliff is about 260 feet high. The top of the cove is a large area of limestone pavement: a must for all walkers and hikers.
