Aysgarth is a small village in Upper Wensleydale. The standout features of Wensleydale are the rolling green hills, cross-hatched by ancient drystone walls (see pic 2) and the many waterfalls, the most famous being the spectacular Aysgarth Falls (See pic 1). Aysgarth Falls are three-step cascades that go down the river Ure, which flows through the centre of Wensleydale. On the way from earlier drop offs you will be able to see the splendid castle at Castle Bolton, and maybe walk right by it. (See pic 3.)
