We are the Leicestershire & Rutland Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A 9.5 mile (approx 5 hours) moderate walk starting at the lower car park at Beacon Hill (parking charge is £5.00 all day - contactless payment available). The walk will start from the lower car park and we will ramble over fields to Old John to take in the views over Leicestershire and then via Newtown Linford and back over fields to Beacon Hill Country park where will will climb Beacon Hill (the highest point in Leicestershire). This walk will have sections of uphill and downhill, please wear appropriate walking footwear and bring a packed lunch.
