We know that the festive season can be a particularly difficult time for many of us who are on our own which is why our Festival of Winter Walks - that takes place from 21st December to 6th January - is focused on helping people to connect with each other.

Ramblers groups across the UK are offering hundreds of free festive walks to give everyone the chance to enjoy the wonderful winter landscape in good company, and to make new friends at a time of year when many people can feel lonely or isolated.

A sociable walk with a welcoming group is an easy way to get out and about and meet people. We’ve got fun winter-themed walks that the little ones will love; leisurely strolls under 5 miles for people new to walking; and longer walks for those that want more of a challenge. For those of you who may be short on time or want a gentler stroll, why not join a health walk.
