A lovely summer circular walk to the Isle of Wight's famous sea stacks - the Needles - and Freshwater Bay. Lots of sea views and a chance to paddle for a bit if you wish. Bring a packed lunch (and a camera!), opportunity to buy food later in the day if you wish.
Terrain: Coastal and inland paths; undulating
Travel: Take 8:05 from London Waterloo (8:12 Clapham Junction), change at Brockenhurst (arr. 9:37, dep. 9:42 Platform 4), arr. Lymington Pier 9:52. We'll catch the first ferry to Yarmouth (Isle of Wight). Buy return to Yarmouth (Isle of Wight), this will include the ferry trip. Don't go to Great Yarmouth. Total fare from London Waterloo, with a network railcard, is £40.70. We will board the return ferry at 20:10, arriving London Waterloo 22:49.
