Some quiet roads to Stixwould. Tracks, fields and woodland towards the golf course and Woodhall Spa finishing on the old railway line back to the station car park.

Along the Chesterfield canal, then up through Gringley on the Hill. A lengthy section on the Trent Valley Way takes us back to the canal for lunch at Clayworth. Return via the tow path to Drakeholes.

Through lovely countryside, we'll use a route regularly walked by the poet John Clare, over to Ryhall then back to Pickworth by the old drovers road.

A gentle stroll of approx 8 miles in Tennyson country. From Brinkhill we head to Bag Enderby (coffee stop), then on to Somersby, Harden's Gap, South Ormsby. From here we head back to Brinkhill, where we will have a stop at the church to support the church by sampling the tea and cakes before returning to Green Lane. The walk is mainly on well established footpaths and bridleways, with a few stiles and a small amount of road walking.
